Tysons, VA
April 24, 2023
Near the end of April, we had two back-to-back events, one in Georgia and one in Virginia. The truck was utilized at a neutral site available to various customers and distributors in Tysons, Virginia, just outside of DC. After a full day of networking with the local sales team and their larger customers, I got the chance to walk all around our nation’s capitol and do some sight seeing.
Key Takeaway: At this event, I learned the importance of utilizing different outlets to advertise an event. This event was tacked on as a secondary thought in addition to the previous Alpharetta event so it took more effort to encourage attendance for it. We worked hard with the local sales team and were able to meet with a few new and important customers at the event.
Favorite food: The night before our event I had a lovely dinner with one of the ladies I was planning the event with and a local friend who is also a part of the rotational program I’m in. We went to North Italia and I had a delicious Spaghetti Bolognese and we enjoyed ourselves with a few glasses of wine.
Highlight: As I mentioned before, I had the chance to walk around DC and do some sightseeing around the different memorials and statues. I am always so moved by the World War II memorial and admire the tribute it pays to our troops. I went for a nice walk around the Tidal Basin right near the Thomas Jefferson Memorial, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. I absolutely love DC and how educational, moving, and beautiful all the monuments are.
