San Diego, CA

February 2-9, 2023

This trip has probably been my favorite so far. The Distributech International Trade Show event was held in the beautiful San Diego, California. I arrived early with my boss to oversee the setup of the event, watching the floor transform from nothing to massive interactive booths. My friends in my rotational program arrived a few days later and we all worked the ABB booth together, networking and having fun together after hours.

Key Takeaway: From this event I realized the significant impact of in-person internal networking. I’ve heard so many names before, but felt I was able to really build and strengthen new relationships meeting with all these people in person.

Favorite Food: This one was hard for me, as I had so many great meals throughout this trip. But the most unique one was a classic California Burrito, which contains French fries, carne asada, guacamole, pico de Gallo, and cheese all wrapped in a tortilla.

Trip Highlight: San Diego is an awesome city to visit with so much to do and see. I loved just walking around the area along the river, such pretty weather and views. My friends and I were able to visit the San Diego Zoo and take the ferry to go see the Hotel Del Coronado. At the Hotel’s beach we all had a wholesome break of excitedly calling our parents to show where we were, having a “mama we made it” moment.
